The Editor: To say I'm spectacularly amazed at how well this works is an understatement. Figuring out how to use it wasn't too difficult, in fact, the new OS/2 eZine is based on one sample from the documentation.
Extract of Yippee's Review: Fortunately, for all the effort PPWizard requires it is a hugely flexible and powerful utility that can be of great use to serious web authors everywhere. Recommended.

Sikte of Michael Baas, celebrating the birth of his daughter Lydia Zoe in September 2003. To be updated with more news about the little one, as life goes on ;-) PPWIZARD has been used to generate the navigational links, the common footer, meta-tags, literature-recommendations and a lot of simple macro-replacements. This site was my first 'project' with PPWIZARD and as it was so successfull, I will now also convert my main-site "http://www.mbaas.de" to PPWIZARD

Site located in Germany (Gelnhausen/Hessen). Maintained by Michael Baas using Windows XP.

This web site is to promote my IT services. I started using PPWIZARD 10 years ago when I had 2 versions of my web site. I started using it under OS/2 Warp, then all versions of Windows and now on a brand new Core2Duo system running Suse 10.1. I have designed a brand new looking site with NetFusion 7.5 and the maintenance is generated with PPwizard. I had a hard time figuring out how to use PPWIZARD because I had no experience in programming but now I find it is a precious tool to keep my site up to date and also for automating many more chores. Thank you Dennis!

HTML page dated Fri, 06 Jun 2008 23:21:37 GMT
This is the website for an Open Access Journal in Computer Science. Since there are many mirror sites, it is vital, that the pages are plain HTML+CSS. PPWizard and Scripts (bash, python - some called from PPWizard) manage all the content generation. PPWizard generates all the HTML files and some text files while the other scripts generate PDF, PS, DVI files and do sanity checks

  12. http://wenost.sourceforge.net/OK when tested at 28 Jun 2008

HTML page dated Sat, 01 Mar 2003 15:39:51 GMT
I've found PPWIZARD to be very useful. This site is about an open source utility (wenost) that was designed to ease the process of building and maintaining, by hand, larger websites. Wenost reads a description of the navigational structure of a web site from a single text file and produces a set of files that are then run through PPWIZARD to build the site. Wenost was used (in conjunction with PPWIZARD) to build the Web Node Structure website

Site located in Site located in the US and maintained from Australia.. Maintained by Michael Baker using Windows XP.

HTML page dated Mon, 10 Mar 2008 13:40:32 GMT
We adopted the website of a youth soccer league.

Originaly crafted with a professional tool, the site was suffering the "I'm a bit too large for my tool" blues. PPWIZARD to the rescue!

Mostly, we updated the HTML, separated style and content, converted common text into macros, and added symbolic date references that can change with the season.

The novelty on this site is the use of PPWIZARD to prepare the server side PERL code. With a second set of macros and some #include's, the server side forms processing tracks the content and format of the site HTML perfectly. Adding or removing a form element is painless because we use the same source text for both processes.

PPWIZARD allows easy management of our cascading style sheets. The site style sheets are hosted on the server, but this creates a problem if someone archives and later views an HTML page built by the PERL code. The then current style sheet on the server may not match the archived HTML. With PPWIZARD we can painlessly #include current style sheets in the PERL code that builds Form submission responses. (obviously, the PERL program could copy the current CSS file into the generated HTML, but this increases the server load)

IMGTOPDF is a free Open Source GPL program for converting PNG, JPEG, and TIFF files into PDF documents.

PPWIZARD made all of the pages for this project, derived from a set of standard header files. I use a global header, which has common macros I use for many of my web-projects, and a local one with project-specific customisations (like navigation, "look and feel"etc...). Changing one or two #define's in the build file switches my code from making the web site, to making the documentation

Site located in Australia (Brisbane). Maintained by Andrew Roach using Windows XP.

  28. http://www.kc9hi.netOK when tested at 4 Jul 2008
Personal multi-topic web site. PPWIZARD generates every page using common header, footer and navbar header files. The hyperlinks for the current page is suppressed and the remaining part of each page (except Home, Guestbook and News) is created from 1 or more CSV files. PPWIZARD also fully encodes all email addresses on the Amateur Radio page to help foil email address harvesters. There are many more things (too many to list) things that I have PPWIZARD doing to make my website maintenance easier. PPWIZARD is great. Thanks Dennis!

We like sites that are "lean and mean". Perhaps not as visually dynamic as some, this site is fast and and informative. Formerly maintained using a GUI tool, the site was converted to PPWizard.

We have used PPWizard to separate the site's style and content. Currently, we are improving the site's accessability (for the visually impaired). Our previous PPWizard work to separate style and content has paid dividends. That navigation bar, a cheap trick for PPWizard, would have been much too complicated to maintain with the GUI tool. The accessability updates would have required editing every navigation link on every page

RMG Enterprises - The Real Mean Garage Independent Porsche Repair shop Features technical articles Multimedia content, News, and other misc content. PPWIZARD builds all html and css style sheets. The Design of the website was manually created before PPWIZARD was used, but it was planned from the start that PPWIZARD would be used. This made the development very challenging at times, but allowed the design to not be limited by my ability to come up with a solution. Design changes during the development where not much of a problem. Content generation is automated so well that article authors need to know very little html

Submit Your Site

If you wish to add your site to this list:

  1. Ensure that you are generating pages that credit ppwizard either in the "META" tag (it does this by default) or link to ppwizard's homepage. This will prevent false postings by people who only want another link to try to improve their ratings on search engines.

  2. Using the template below, email as much of the following information as you feel comfortable with:

Please cut and paste the following template and fill in the details (filled in example below):

        Web Page :
        Name :
        Email :
        Comment :
        Op Sys :
        Country :

Please leave the names of the fields alone! This way I can just cut & paste from your email and ppwizard will do the rest.

I do insert some anti-spam text into all emails addresses and you can also supply a "http" form if you wish.

If you have a long comment then you can break it over a number of lines however each line should start with a colon (":") character.

If you wish to submit multiple sites then repeat the template as many times as required (blank line between them).

To update details either send the lot or only the changed fields (plus web address so I can identify it!).

  3. Please review your details on this page after a reasonable time...

  4. Please keep me up to date when details change!
