Note that a lot of work has gone into PPWIZARD (as you can probably guess from even a quick look at its capabilities). I would probably make money selling it (and many people tell me I should) but I'm happy to make it and my many other tools freely available. All I ask in return is feedback (good or bad) and to be told about any problems in its use (ppwizard bugs or otherwise). Being a generic tool I may not have thought about all possible uses or situations this tool can be used in, this makes your feedback valuable. Future changes will concentrate in areas for which I have received user feedback.

When reporting problems along with all relevant information please supply the redirected output from the ppwizard command when executed with the "/debug" switch.

HELP MAKE PPWIZARD BETTER

If you would like to help (you don't have to!), then consider:

  1. Tell me if you see something wrong or something that could be improved!

  2. Displaying a ppwizard logo (see below) and linking to my page.

  3. Not removing the optional ppwizard generator tag.

  4. Tell your friends about it. Where appropriate post replies to newsgroups mentioning ppwizard. Add honest comments to software download sites.

  5. I have written some generic instructions on ppwizard installation as well as more information on Windows and OS/2. OS/2 could use some decent code to update CONFIG.SYS for environment variables and it's PATH statement (install/update). If you can improve the installation process or simply provide any information on how it might be best installed on your operating system (Linux etc) then I can add this information for others. A batch file to automate the process would be excellent.

  6. Windows has quite good installation code for use via Windows Explorer, OS/2 has some code for it's WPS. I'd like to see a batch file for Linux or other operating systems to provide similar support. This will be extremely easy (if you know how to configure it's shell to create icons or update file context menus). If you do this use the OS/2 install as a guide as only the batch file need change (the ".ppw" files would be very similar if not the same).

  7. Some editors (text or GUI) allow you to define extensions, for example some GUI HTML editors allow you to create your own "tags", if you create a set of PPWIZARD related extensions then let me know and I will link to your page.

  9. Let me know if you get ppwizard running on operating systems (or versions of) that I don't list as supporting.

  10. Creating/Using Graphics
The graphics shown below are not bad, can anyone do better?

Most of the graphics below are small files, please feel free to add these to your site if you wish (please don't link to the graphics on my site!). Thanks to those that have created graphics in the past (I have credited you in the hover "tooltip").

The Editor: To say I'm spectacularly amazed at how well this works is an understatement. Figuring out how to use it wasn't too difficult, in fact, the new OS/2 eZine is based on one sample from the documentation.
Extract of Yippee's Review: Fortunately, for all the effort PPWizard requires it is a hugely flexible and powerful utility that can be of great use to serious web authors everywhere. Recommended.
